Hello! I’m Julie Bateman
I'm a professional graphic designer and the founder of Bateman Design Group, a boutique creative agency in Barrie, Ontario since 2003. I have over 20 years of design and business experience, and have taught courses in Digital Photography, Design Fundamentals and Advertising at Georgian College. Samples of my work have been published in 'Basic Logos' by Index Books and 'Graphically Speaking: A Visual Lexicon for Achieving Better Designer-Client Communication' by Lisa Buchanan.
I work from a home office, love my job and am available as a freelance part of your team, on a per-project basis or with a monthly retainer system for ongoing projects.

Our Design Process
We begin each project by reading the design brief, discussing your goals and determining your budget and deadline. Then we’ll research your industry, relevant trends and main competition.
Next, we’ll begin brainstorming, sketches and start working on initial design concepts. We will evolve and refine those concepts, and prepare initial designs to present as a first set of proofs.
Once we receive your feedback, we’ll made adjustments and continue to refine and evolve until you love the final designs (three sets of revisions is standard).
Prepare final design files: develop style guide, work with website developers or send print ready files as needed.
